Search results can be navigated. From any search result, you can trace its links to other pieces of information in the search engine.
From any NE, you can list its tiles and find all the bench and spill configurations it exists in. From any tile, you can list its NE and find all the bench and spill configurations it exists in.
Navigation is done entirely within the search engine. When you find the NE or tile you want, you can activate the NE or play the tile.
How to Navigate Search Results
 The search navigator is composed of two boxes, one above the other, in the middle column of the search engine. This column only appears when the search navigator is being used.
The top column tells you where you are, the dropdown list tells you what sorts of things you can see there, and the lower box tells you exactly what's there. In the example here, we are looking at an NE called "Association": the tiles for Association include Document, Presentation, Spreadsheet and Video.
To access the search navigator:
| • | Doubleclick any NE or tile in search results. It will become the central or selected object in the upper box. |
To navigate to another object:
| • | Doubleclick any NE in search results, in the upper box or in the lower box in the search navigator. |
To navigate the links for the central object:
| • | Select a type of link from the dropdown list between the upper and lower boxes. For NEs, the options are tiles, bench configurations and spill configurations. For tiles, the options are NE, bench configurations and spill configurations. |
 Some search navigator options are accessible directly from the search results, just by rightclicking on a search result and selecting the option you want. These options are:
| • | Find all Tiles contained in this NE |
| • | Find Spill Configuration Tiles containing this NE |
| • | Find Bench Configuration Tiles containing this NE |
| • | Find Bench Configuration Tiles containing this Tile |
If you are navigating search results directly from an NE or a tile, you can multiselect NEs or tiles. For instance, you can select four NEs and display the tiles for all four NEs.
| • | All tiles for all NEs will be displayed. |
| • | Which tile belongs to which NE will not be indicated. |
| • | You cannot multiselect search results for navigating if you are in the search navigator (middle column in the search engine), only if you navigate directly from the NE results (left column) or the tile results (right column). |
