There are three workrooms in the DNE. Each workroom has multimedia editors and spill lines. To find out more about these tools, click on the links.
Whereas single purpose rooms (Internet Manager, Maps, etc.) are designed around a particular function, workrooms are designed for general work.
All workrooms have both spill and multimedia functionality. These functions are accessed on the
Workrooms can be renamed to reflect the work that you are doing. For instance, if you are working on two unrelated proposals at the same time, one for client A and one for client B, then you could rename two workrooms "Client A" and "Client B". Because rooms can be renamed on the fly, you can keep your DNE configured to exactly the work you are doing - as soon as work on client A's proposal is completed, rename the room for client C and you're ready to go.
This feature is handy if you are using the DNE's auto-filing feature. Auto-filing allows you to automatically save the room and DNE configuration at the end of each day. When you rename a workroom, you create a new NE in the cabinet in which auto-filed room configuration tiles for that workroom will be managed (until you rename the room again. This means that, for example, six months after your work on the proposals above, you can simply activate your "Client A" NE from the cabinet, and you will have access to your entire work history on the proposal for client A. |
