The Maps room features a model control which is used to control the display of information maps and object models. On the control you can decide whether to display all NEs in the model or just published NEs. If you display both published and unpublished NEs, then the entire model will be visible. Published NEs are displayed in the regular color and unpublished NEs are displayed in blue. If you display published NEs only, then unpublished NEs disappear from the model. Further, the unpublished NE produces a break in the model such that, if any published NE is only connected to the active NE through an unpublished NE, then the unpublished NE must be displayed in order for the published one to appear. That is, if you unpublish an NE, then you cannot "see past" the unpublished one to the NEs on the far side - rather, it is as though those were unpublished as well.
The model control also acts as a zoom control. You can determine the size at which the NEs will be displayed (if NEs are displayed at a smaller size then more of them can be displayed in the room). In Maps, the NEs can be displayed at three different sizes. You can zoom in and out from the model, displaying the NEs at 1x, 1.5x or 2x zoom.
