Media Player |

There is a media player in each of the workrooms, in the Internet Manager room, in the Maps room and the presentation room. The media player is attached to the bottom left corner of the bench. The player is activated automatically by dropping a tile in it. The contents of the player can be scrolled, allowing you fast access to all the tiles that have been played recently, in order to help you find what you want, quickly and easily.
Any visible tile can be played. This includes not only the tiles that reside on the tile scroller of any active NE but also tiles on the bench or on a spill line in any workroom. The media player also allows you to preview any multimedia tile before you play it. Previews are thumbnail presentations either of an entire image or of a selected frame in a video.
The player allows you to search through the contents of multimedia tiles to find the information that you want, by fast-forwarding, rewinding and repeating audio or video information. It also logs the history of tiles played and allows you to scroll through this history or through tile stacks in order to find precisely the tile that you want.
When playing, the contents of a tile are always presented on a rectangular screen that extends from the top right corner of the room. The screen can be resized, and if you are running the DNE on two monitors, it is just as easy to move the screen onto the second monitor. You can keep the DNE open with all functionality accessible and visible while at the same time devoting a full screen to the tile that you are playing.
The media player also has some editing functionality for multimedia information. When you play a multimedia tile, the left side of the screen will feature tools that are used to create image, audio and video edits.
