How to Fine-Tune Clips

master recorder reader To edit a clip (by dragging):

•	Drag the leftmost end of a clip or to the left if you want the clip to begin earlier (include more information),

•	Drag the leftmost end of a clip to the right if you want the clip to begin later (include less information),

•	Drag the rightmost end of a clip to the left if you want the clip to end earlier (include less information),

•	Drag the rightmost end of a clip to the right if you want the clip to end later (include more information).

To edit a clip (by time)

1.	Rightclick on the clip

2.	Mouseover Edit

3.	Select Start Time to edit the start time for the clip or End Time to edit the end time for the clip

4.	The DNE will display the current start time or end time. Type the new start time or end time to replace the current start time or end time

5.	Hit enter.

To delete a clip:

1.	Rightclick on the clip and

2.	Select Delete.

To copy a clip:

1.	Rightclick on the clip and

2.	Select Copy

3.	Rightclick anywhere on the topic recorder to which you want to copy the clip and

4.	Click Paste. The clip will appear at the appropriate time relative to the source recording.

To create a new clip:

1.	Click and hold where you want the clip to begin, and

2.	Drag the mouse to where you want the clip to end.

The new piece may have to be edited. See instructions above.

To preview a video clip:

1.	Rightclick the clip

2.	Select Preview.

To preview an audio clip:

•	Doubleclick the clip.
