Images can be edited in any workroom. Creation of any image edit tile is done by use of the image editing bar (left) which is attached to the media screen any time an image is played in a multipurpose room. Creating an image highlight tile and adding an image highlight to a scrapsheet are similar processes, while annotating an image is done differently.
To create an image highlight tile:
1.
Click the selection tool .
2.
Clickand hold at one corner of the desired detail,
3.
Drag your cursor to the opposite corner, and
4.
Release your cursor.
5.
Click the image icon immediately above the selection tool .

Image icon only appears when a detail is highlighted
To create a scrapsheet or add an image highlight to a scrapsheet:
1.
Click the selection tool .
2.
Clickand hold at one corner of the desired detail,
3.
Drag your cursor to the opposite corner, and
4.
Release your cursor.
5.
Click the scrapsheet icon immediately below the bounding box.

Scrapsheet icon only appears when a detail is highlighted
The most recently accessed scrapsheet remains in the scrapsheet machine until replaced by another scrapsheet, in any workroom. To reopen the most recently accessed scrapsheet:
•
Click the on the control on the right end of the bench.
The other tools on the bar are used to annotate images.
To add text:
1.
Click the text tool
2.
A dialog box appears on which you can determine font, print size and color, etc. Configure text as appropriate.
3.
Enter text at bottom of dialog box.
4.
Click Okay
5.
The text is now attached to your cursor. Move your mouse to the place on the image to which you want to affix the text, and
6.
Click.
To draw a line:
1.
Click the line tool .
2.
Click and hold at one end of the line you want to draw,
3.
Drag the cursor to the other end of the line you want to draw, and
4.
Release cursor.
To add a shaded or unshaded bounding box (to highlight an area in an image annotation:
1.
To add an unshaded bounding box to an area, click top box (toggles between and ).
2.
To add a shaded box click bottom box (toggles between and ).
3.
The top box indicates an unshaded box. To toggle between and ,
4.
Click top box to engage tool, then click again to toggle.
5.
The bottom box indicates a shaded box. To toggle between and ,
6.
Click top box to engage tool, then click again to toggle.
7.
Clickand hold at one corner of the desired detail,
8.
Drag your cursor to the opposite corner, and
9.
Release your cursor.
To change thickness of lines and boxes:
•
Both lines and boxes can be made narrow, medium or thick
•
To toggle between thicknesses, click the line tool before drawing line or box.
To change color of bounding box or line, or of shaded area within bounding box: or
•
To change outline color of a box or line:
1.
Click the outline color tool (outline color variable).
2.
A dialogue box appears. Select the desired color.
3.
ClickOkay
•
To change the shading color in a box:
1.
Click the fill color tool (fill color variable).
2.
A dialogue box appears. Select the desired color.
3.
Click Okay
To undo any annotation:
•
Click the undo tool.
To save an annotated image tile:
•
Click the image tile at the bottom of the image editing bar.
