The DNE by Dekstrus, Inc., is the complete knowledge management solution.

The DNE has two help methods: Flash help and text-based help. Flash help is composed of two tutorial animations that will introduce you to the most important information management and object modeling tools in the DNE, namely the NE and tile in one tutorial, and the cabinet in the other tutorial. Text-based help - which you're looking at now - provides text-based instructions for all objects and capabilities of the DNE. HTML help

Doubleclick the help ball help ball in the bottom middle of the screen to access Flash Help. If you are in any room then it will run the NE (and tile) tutorial; if you are at the cabinet then it will run the cabinet tutorial.
Drag the help ball onto an object to access context-sensitive text-based help for that object.
Hit the F1 key on your keyboard to access general text-based help.

We recommend that all new users take both Flash help tours.

Text-based help entries are divided into two sorts:

"About" entries that introduce and discuss features of the Dekstrus DNE, and
"How To" entries that provide step by step instructions to successfully use these features.

Each "About" entry is hyperlinked to its respective "How To" entry, and each sort of entry is easily distinguished because every "How To" entry is titled "How To..."

Multi-step instructions in "How To" help are given in numbered steps, while different options for carrying out a function are given in a bulleted list.

In every entry, the first reference to a help entry - which is always a link - is indicated in colored underlined type.

Reference to actions (such as mouseclicking or rightclicking) are indicated in italics, while the button or menu option to be clicked is indicated in bold.

The help file includes, over and above a table of contents and an index, also has a glossary including important DNE terms, a full text search and browse sequences that introduce and explain topics in a natural order.

Our website includes a wide variety of other help options, including an FAQ section, a user forum, and a collection of videos that take you step-by-step through various processes. Some of these videos are linked from the help file  but the collection is updated often. The Animated Tutorials button links you to the internet, so videos are not available where there is no internet connection.
