Contributes To Wing

The NE has access not only to the information contained in its tiles, but also to contextual knowledge via its links to other NEs.

Any NE can be linked to any other by dropping one NE in one of three association areas of the other. Which area you select will reflect the nature of the relation. One way in which one NE may be related to a second is if it has an impact on the second. The contributes to wing (the right wing) allows every NE to track all the NEs that it has an impact on. For instance, if you are working on a task and decide to push back the finishing date by a week, you can look at the NEs in the contributes to wing and you will see all the NEs that will be affected by the change.

The contributions by wing (left) works in tandem with the contributes to (right) wing to manage many-to-many object model-type relations in the DNE.
