Benched Objects

Top  Previous  Next

bench clockObjects that have been placed on the bench are accessible in any room and are accessible no matter what NE is active in any particular room. Therefore, if there is an NE or tile that you want to work on in some other room, you can ensure that it will be available both where and when you want it by placing it  on the bench in that room. In the example, the NEs on the Maps room bench are displayed and accessible.

Any NE or any tile, or any combination of NEs and tiles may be placed on the bench and benched objects remain on the bench even after you leave the DNE, so you can leave work to do on the bench to finish during the next work session. You may leave as many NEs and tiles as you want on the bench, and distribute then across the bench in any combination of rooms or place them on the universal bench. The bench in each room will display up to 15 NEs and 12 tiles. If there are more objects on the bench than can be displayed, benched NEs and tiles can be scrolled on the appropriate bench scroller bench scroller. Benched NEs and tiles are displayed on the bench exactly as they appear anywhere else. But they can either be hidden, if you want them out of the way, or displayed with more complete information, on a large screen. On the example here, the green arrow on the tile indicates that the two tiles on the bench are hidden and the red dash on the NE indicates that the 15 NEs are displayed.

An NE does not have to be active to be placed on the bench. Associated NEs, history NEs and NEs in the cabinet can be placed directly on the bench in any room. Similarly, any tile can be placed on the bench, including tiles from a spilled tile scroller in any workroom. NEs and tiles do not have to be placed on the bench in the room you are in. From any room you can place objects on the bench in any room

NEs can be activated from the bench and tiles can be played from the bench. Benched NEs can also be added to the association areas of the active NE. As well, NEs can be dropped on any spill line in any workroom, right from the bench.
