The DNE Desktop offers shortcut desktops, or links to often used folders in Microsoft® Explorer®. You have one-click access to:

Also, you have direct access to your bookmarks (set in your default browser) from the Desktop.

 

 

How to access your Windows® folders

 

1.Click Microsoft on the top toolbar, and
2.Select the desired shortcut on the dropdown menu.
3.Navigate your tree structure as normal.

 

 

 

How to create a desktop from a Windows folder

 

1.Click Desktop on the top toolbar,
2.Select Import a Windows folder to the Desktop
3.In the Browse for Folder navigator, select the desired folder, and
4.Click OK.
5.You will be prompted to name the new desktop. Name it and
6.Click OK.

 

ex_blueIf you create a desktop from a folder, then the new desktop allows you to work directly with the files and folders, not with shortcuts. Therefore, if you create a desktop from a folder, and delete an object from the desktop, this will delete the file or folder from the source file as well.

 

 

How to access bookmarks

 

1.Click Favorites on the top toolbar, and
2.Select the desired shortcut on the dropdown menu.

 

 

 

How to move a file from the DNE Desktop into your regular Windows® environment

 

1.Place the file on the bench
2.Open the target Windows folder via the Microsoft top toolbar, and
3.Drag the file from the bench and drop it anywhere in the Windows folder.
