Desktop Settings

Various settings can be changed in the DNE Desktop. Desktops can be set as tabs or buttons, and the tabs or buttons can be located on the top or bottom, or either side, of the desktop area.

To set desktop access via tabs or buttons:

1.	Click Settings on the top toolbar

2.	Select Application Defaults

3.	Under Tab Page Style, select either Tabs or Buttons.

To change the location of the tabs or buttons:

1.	Click Settings on the top toolbar

2.	Select Application Defaults

3.	Under Tab Page Location, select the desired location.

You can also modify where desktop objects snap to when you move them. This allows you finer control over the alignment of objects on the desktop if you want to set them in rows, columns, etc. And you can change whether or not connection points are displayed.

To set Snap to Grid settings:

1.	Click Settings on the top toolbar

2.	Select Application Defaults

3.	Under Snap to Grid, select the appropriate grid size from the drop down list.

To show/hide connection points:

1.	Click Settings on the top toolbar

2.	Select Application Defaults

3.	Under Connection Points, select On or Off.
