The Dekstrus DNE is a full-service research management suite with tools to help you at every step in the research process, from gathering information to organizing it and from planning your assignments to writing them. It is based on a mapping paradigm. You map out what you are going to do, and then your map becomes your research template – add files, notes, web pages, anything, to the map, exactly at the stage they belong to manage the research process visually. Actually, mapping is about 1/10th of what the program does, but it is the central tool, and the many other features support the idea of knowledge mapping.
The DNE is a new product. We want to get it out there, and we want people to show us what they can do with it, so that we can show the world what it can do. That's where you come in. Basically, if you share with us some of the work you do with the DNE, then you can keep it, free. And, if what you share is that term paper you're writing, then you get cutting-edge software in exchange for using it to do work you have to do anyway.
